SolidSim Case Study Analysis tool released
Monday, 22 August 2011 00:00

The new SolidSim Case Study Analysis tool allows you to easily visualize the effects of process or model parameter changes on a certain target value for a given process (e.g. separation efficiency of a cyclone as function of cyclone pressure drop).

For this purpose you can

  • define an arbitrary target function - f(x)

All stream and unit variables can be used for the definition of the target function. It is also possible to use 'custom stream properties' or 'custom unit parameters' for the definition of the target function.

  • select user-defined case study variables - x

Any unit variable (design or model) can be selected as variable for a case study analysis task. For each variable a lower and upper bound value has to be given.

This highly flexible approach allows for the investigation of any process modeled with SolidSim. All results can also be copied or exported as tabular data for further processing using spreadsheet tools or the like.

The Case Study Analysis tool will be distributed automatically to all users with maintained license with the latest updates and can be started from the 'Calculation' menu.
