SolidSim is compliant with the CAPE-OPEN standards. The enables the use of SolidSim in conjunction with existing simulation software (e.g. Aspen Plus^®) and physical property packages (e.g. Aspen Properties^®).

Using the CAPE-OPEN technology the interoperability with other simulation system has been sucessfully tested. SolidSim can here be used as an unit operation within the external simulator. This allows to incoporate any previously defined SolidSim flowsheet into your process simulator.

The CAPE-OPEN standards also allows to access external physical property packages, A physical property package provides the simulation system with data on chemical compounds, calculates mixture properties and performs phase equilibrium calculation. By the use of commercial available system SolidSim can be enabled to handle all compounds that are known by the physical property package.

The access to external property package has been successfully tested with: Aspen Properties 2004 und 2006, Simulis Thermodynamics, Infochem Multiflash, TEA
